Planting of food and medicinal trees at schools and educating the children as to the importance and benefit of such trees. We would run this project in conjunction with Food and Trees for Africa (FTFA). We established a nursery for the trees and invite our customers to help cover the cost to plant a tree for every purchase made at Savanna Wood.

Douw Jordaan has also developed an ‘carbon emissions calculator’ in conjunction with FTFA that will allow companies to calculate how many trees they must plant to be ‘Carbon Neutral’. We offer companies that buy from us, or any other companies, the opportunity of planting trees in our area to contribute towards them becoming ‘carbon neutral’. Again, this will be done in co-operation and overseen by FTFA. Savanna Wood will be fully carbon neutral and will plant trees every year to cover our emissions.
